Bringing in 2014!

New Years Eve is always the evening I strive to jump out of the box and wear something new (even add some sparkle to my look). When I saw this dress on Modcloth, I just knew it would be my perfect NYE dress. This neckline is not always the most flattering on my body type but, with the addition of the long necklace draped a few times I reconciled that problem real quick. 

I wanted to wear my Sole Society burgundy pumps with the outfit, but since my ankle still hurts a bit from spraining it a month or so ago, I sided with caution and went for the low rocker styled ShoeMint bootie instead. Still a great choice and it made the outfit more appropriate for the venue I was popping into to celebrate NYE with my honey and our friends, Ben and Ashley. 

It was a fun and comfortable evening filled with good alcohol and amazing nachos from Samuel Beckett's in Shirlington. A great way to ring in the New Year!

Wedding in Minneapolis

This past weekend I went to a lovely wedding in Minneapolis with Jon. We had such a fun time and it was great meeting all of Jon's friends!

When I saw this dress on Threadflip, I knew I had to have it! It was definitely love at first sight. It cut it close getting to me on time, but Holly from I Heart Aardvarks did all she had to do to get it to me in time for the wedding. Thank God she was able to ship it to the hotel I was in, plus to make things even more perfect, the dress fit amazingly! It was everything I had hoped it would be and I got so many compliments.
