Cinnaberry Tresses

The cold weather can sometimes feel a bit dreary at times and I feel like my hair starts to mimick the weather and lose all of its dimension and spice.

So to jazz things up I like to warm up my hair by using a temporary hair color usually on the auburn side. This weekend I was starting to feel that itch to change something to spice up my look so I used the hair color that I had, Cinnaberry (Medium Auburn) by Clairol Natural Instincts.

I like the Natural Instincts version because it doesn't dry out my hair and actually makes it silkier that it was before.

Now I have a nice spicy hair color like my cute little dog, Chloe!

The perfect amount of spiciness to survive the cold months ahead.
Two Red Heads!

If you are feeling about dull from the chill go add some spice to your hair color!

    1. Since it was a temporary color the deepness of the shade started to fade after about a month and a half I would say, but my hair is still more red than blonde so it hasn't really faded completely out of my hair, which personally I like that it hasn't done that. Are you thinking of coloring your hair?

    2. Yep, I actually picked up this color today after seeing this post! I have much darker hair than you, though, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Did you use the little color boost packet that came with the dye kit?

    3. Thats great! And it will look beautiful since I think you are supposed to use this color with darker hair. I did use the little color boost packet and I really like how it revived the color after a few weeks. I will definitely be using this color again next fall when I need a little pick me up. Please let me know how your hair color turns out I'd love to hear about it! Enjoy!

  2. Love the color. I bought this today and Im kind of nervous. I dyed my hair for the very first time last week with L'Oreal Healthy Look (Chestnut Brown/ Spiced Truffle), I have medium dark brown hair and it didnt make any difference to my hair, maybe a little bit of red but nothing else so I was feeling kind of dissapointed. Then I started looking for a different shade and came across with this one and I read a LOT of reviews and some people say that the color is amazing and some REALLY hated it, specially with the color packet thing. But I'm willing to give this color a chance. I'm going to wait a couple of washes more and then I'm going to do it. Still, like I said kind of nervous I hope it turns out like yours, IT LOOKS GORGEOUS. Crossing my fingers. I'll let you know how it went! Keep you posted :)

    1. This color will definitely look great with your hair! Since this color is a medium auburn you will get a beautiful warm red tone to your hair! It maybe a bit moretrue to what the box says your hair will look like since this color Iis meant to be used on your color hair or darker and I had lighter hair when I did it. And the touch up packet will be the perfect revival of color for your hair too! Goodluck and I can't wait to hear/see how it goes!

  3. The color looks great! If you don't mind me asking, what color was your hair before you dyed it? It looks like your hair took it really well, so I'm wondering how light your hair was to begin with. Thanks so much for posting these!

  4. Hello Amber! I am so sorry for my delayed response! Here is a link to some images of what my hair looked like before I dyed it. It was a dirty blonde essentially with some strawberry in it. I hope you have enjoyed my blog!

Let me know how the color works out for you!

  5. I just picked up this color soley on this post alone; it's stunning! Hope it turns out as well as yours. I tried some at home highlights on my dark brown hair and its...well its orange...and wella t14 didn't help. So instead of fighting natural red undertones I'm going to try this!
