New Mules

Outfit Details:
top: Land's End
pants: unknown (similar)
heels: Kenneth Cole New York (in black

A little while ago I was shopping in DSW and found these beauties!! I thought about it long and hard whether I needed these in my shoe wardrobe or not. The final decision was...obviously!!!! The first day I wore these I had work and a bunch of errands to run, which I completed everything while wearing these babies!!

They are so comfortable and can definitely last the whole day running around or running around a cocktail party networking. I am so glad I have these now in mynposession and am now wishing I had the black ones as well!!

What are your thoughts on mules?

Warm & Chic

O

 Outfit Details:
coat: Lands' End
top: Talbots
pumps: got them in Spain
bag: Chictopia
gloves: Target
necklace: Nordstrom Rack
scarf: Express

One thing I hate about winter is that in order to stay warm you must look bulky with layer upon layer of clothing to keep away the deadly chill of winter. With this look I tried to put that stigma to rest. This coat is extremely warm and with just one scarf and a pair of gloves I was completely content outside with this great work outfit option!

So if you are tired of walking around feeling like a marshmallow, find that sleek, warm winter coat option to throw on when you want your outfit to be chic from start to finish!

What do you do to avoid looking like a marshmallow everytime you step out the door?

Pearls of Wisdom

My Mom always said that it is important to have a nice set of pearls in your accessory wardrobe, because they are classic and can make any outfit classy and sophisticated. My Mom and sister look great it pearls! It is almost as if pearls were made for them, me on the other hand not so much.

Outfit Details:

coat: Lands' End
sweater: H&M
pants: Forever 21
boots: ALDO
long gold necklace: Charming Charlie
clutch: vintage
bracelets: vintage & Bauble Bar
ring: Nordstrom
pearls: gift (Similar earrings) (Similar necklace)

Generally I am not a fan of wearing pearls. I have a beautiful set, but every time I go to wear them I look like a 50s housewife, which is not the end goal that I was aiming for.

So finally I challenged myself to pair my pearls in a way that I would love wearing them! And I accomplished it! Instead of just wearing them by themselves I used them as layering pieces with my long gold chain from Charming Charlie and then paired the pearl earrings with some others to edge it up a bit.

I kept the outfit pretty simple with a dash of edginess with my awesome boots from ALDO.

Last Call for Winter Weather

Coat: Lands' End
Last Call for Winter Weather!

This lovely winter has been very tricky this season. Warm spring-like weather one day and then blistering cold wind the next. I'm hoping that the crazy snow/sleet/rain mix we had on Tuesday night and Wednesday was the last of the winter weather!

This Christmas I got a beautiful periwinkle coat and just realized that I hadn't done a post on it yet! So I figured this winter weather must have been meant to be so that the coat could get one last chance to shine before the spring weather came. As I am writing this now it has just begin to flurry outside...random.

Rain Boots: Dav

So I bundled up and went outside while there was a bit of a break in the sleet and rain. There was definitely quite a bit of snow but a lot of it had washed away from all the rain and created some slush as well.

Coat: Lands' End; Scarf: random shop in Spain; Top: Forever 21; Long sleeved shirt under top: Gap; Leggings: BCBG MaxAzria; Rain boots: Dav; Gloves: Merona at Target

Spring Colors on a Winter Day!

So I had a fun little photo shoot in the wind and cold with my mom and then hurried inside before the rain started to come down again.

Makeup: Primer: The Pore-fessional from Benefit purchased from Sephora; Foundation: Teint Idole Ultra 24H from Lancome and Bobbi Brown's Moisturizing Cream Compact Foundation; Concealer: Time Balm concealer from The Balm got purchased from HauteLook; Powder: Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder Makeup c/o Dior; Bronzer: Laguna Bronzer from NARS; Highlighter: Diorskin Poudre Shimmer in 002 c/o Dior; Eyeshadow: Mary-Lou Manizer from the Balm got in my Birchbox; Mascara: Diorshow Maximizer and Diorshow Blackout; Lips: Color Design Lipstick in The New Pink (Sheen) from Lancome

Hopefully that and I guess the flurries and wind today are the last of the winter weather for this season because I am definitely ready for the Spring to be here!

Enjoy & Be Beautiful!
