Front Row Fall/Winter 2013 Collection NYC Fashion Week

Front Row Fall/Winter 2013 Show

Metropolitan Pavilion
Style 360 presented by Conair
Key Artist: James Vincent

Shateria Moragne-EL, the creator and designer of Front Row, posing on the red carpet at the Style 360 event

Front Row’s creator is Shateria Moragne-EL, who has been involved in fashion for most of her life. (elle.com) Elle.com describes Front Row as “an innovative luxe brand that represents front-of-the-line privilege. The clothing is meant for fashion lovers and leaders - the confident, the gracious and the faithful.” This is the perfect description of the collection. Every piece exuded confidence and luxury. Leather and fur were the big players in this line and it reminded me a bit of vintage glamour, I absolutely loved so many pieces.

Absolutely love this leather jacket with the fur collar, this deep red is definitively a must for next fall (or even right now!)
This little mini-dress was fabulous going down the catwalk

I absolutely loved the dress Shateria had on for the show

The makeup look, designed by James Vincent, emphasized on perfecting the skin and then creating a beautiful geometric design with liner on the eye. It was inspired by the red carpet and runways from this season. The berry lip was also present in the look (definitely a main player in this NYFW). Keeping the eyes and lips the main focus, kept the look classic and timeless.

To add a bit of color to the cheeks we added a dab of the OCC lip tar in black dahlia. We blended it on the apply and then to give it the natural flushed cheek look, we took our foundation brush and applied a bit of foundation over top. This is a tip I learned from James and use a lot! Love it!

The liner on the eye was created with the liner marker from Ardency Inn. I love using a marker type of line to create that perfect cat eye, for me it makes it a lot easier to make that straight line that extends out. Nars also has a great marker that is long-wear.

The awesome eyeliner we used for the look

This is definitely a look that I am going to try on myself! Let me know if you want me to do a tutorial on the look so you can try it out too!
What do you guys think of this look?

Packed and ready to go to NYC for Fashion Week! Seems like it was so long ago , but it was only last week!

So after a roll of paper towels, 3 packages of wipes, package of mascara wands, a bottle of brush cleaner, bottle of eye makeup remover, glitter stuck to everything, nails chipped and broken, feet ready to fall off ...another glorious New York Fashion Week comes to an end! There are so many beautiful designs to still write about and share with all of you!!

This fall/winter season offered such a beautiful marriage between textures and strong silhouettes. The hair and makeup complemented the personality of each collection beautifully.

Stay tuned for more reviews about the rest of the shows I participated in for New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013 collections!

NYFW SS '13: Suzanne Rae

Suzanne Rae Show
Location: The Philippine Center, NYC
Lead Artist: James Vincent sponsored by Kevyn Aucoin

Suzanne Rae

This line was all about minimalism. For the makeup look we made the skin flawless by mixing Kevyn Aucoin skin enhancer with embryolisse. Then we brushes white from the Makeup Forever flash palette into the brows. Used taupe on the lid and white shadow under the lower lash line. The shapes on the face created a very organic and raw appearance.

For the cheek we used a orange-ish red blush from Kevyn. It was supposed to emulate the appearance of a flushed complexion, as if she had been outside in the elements. And finally we did a matte nude on the lips. Very basic colors to create a simplistic and raw appearance to accompany the clean lines of Suzanne’s designs.

The hair was styled into a severe straight bang and a slicked back severe pony tail.

The venue offered a beautiful environment for the show to take place. The clothing was very ready to wear and could be worn in the work environment to casual lounging or even a night out.

NYFW SS'13: Sammi Sweetheart Collaboration with SXE Fitness

September 10, 2012 Show: Sammi Sweetheart Athletic Wear Collection for SXE Fitness Wear

Makeup Lead Artist: James Vincent
Sponsored by Inglot Cosmetics: The Freedom System

During New York Fashion week the first show I worked on was the Sammi Sweetheart show. The Key Makeup Artist was James Vincent and I got to be part of his makeup team. The look for the show was a beautiful, healthy glow to the skin. The eyes were bright and elevated as well as the cheek bones by adding a nice highlight. There were no hard lines or edges.

We put a double layer of lashes on the upper lash line to help with the bright uplifted appearance of the eyes. On the lid we used bronzes and golds. A technique that James is known for: a natural flush to the cheeks—apply blush before the foundation so that it appears as if it is a natural flush to the skin. The black liner was put on the waterline to emphasize the lash line subtly.

For the hair the stylists had the models’ hair with soft waves or a high bun with a braid up the back of the head.

This look was a perfect pair with the cute athletic wear that Sammi, from Jersey Shore, designed in collaboration with SXE Fitness wear. All of the pieces were very wearable and I could definitely see myself going for a run in these curve-hugging workout clothes.
