NYFW Fall/Winter 2014: Lie Sang Bong

Location: The Pavilion at Lincoln Center
MB Fashion Week NY Fall/Winter 2014
Key Artist: Yin Lee
Sponsor: AOFM Pro

Yin conducting the demo

I had the honor of being on the AOFM Pro team and assisting the amazing artist Yin Lee on the Lie Sang Bong show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. The look was simplistic and very precise! Yin designed an outlined winged eyeliner, this contributes to the design of the collection by showing the contrast of the lid against the dash of black eyeliner.

I absolutely love Lie Sang Bong's collection! He created beautiful contrasts between the light catching fabrics and sophisticated lines and structure to the pieces. The gorgeous texture printed on the fabrics adds a bolt of life through the collection. He not only added interpretive texture to the designs but also used different textures to show contrasting colors, by showing how color can pick up the light differently depending on the texture of the fabric.

It is truly a beautiful collection and I know that if any of these pieces graced my closet, I would be the happiest girl ever!

Zana Bayne's designs were absolutely magnificent!  The whole collection flowed well together and went smoothly once the models hit the runway.  If you know of her work then you know it is a bit scandalous with a bondage edge. The collection seemed to be inspired by burlesque/ show girl costumes. All of the leather was such beautiful quality and the intricate detailing on each piece made her whole collection a work of art that could easily be displayed in a gallery as well as displayed on the streets.

Benny Hancock was the key artist who was sponsored by OLIV ARÉS HAUS of GLAM. The look he designed was composed of beautiful glowing skin with a striking bold lip (my fave!). The application of gloss on the eye lids added to the beautiful glowing sheen on the models' skin. As you can see in the photos, the look added a beautiful sophistication to the sexy ensembles. This was my favorite show that I worked this season!
