Brand Review: Lather

Are you someone trying to stick to all natural products, but you miss that gratifying rich lather from products with more synthetic materials in them? Then Lather is your answer, all of their products are all natural and they have found ingredients that can give you that rich lather that you have been looking for, but without the harsh chemicals.

At Lather their motto is “Clean Skin for a Radiant Life.” Emilie Hoyt, the founder of Lather, wanted to find a way to escape from her chronic headaches and knew that synthetic perfumes and artificial ingredients were partially a cause for her discomfort. She found that an all-natural bar of lavender soap placed under her pillow helped to relieve her headaches. This led to her journey of discovering different all natural ingredients and aromatherapy, which brought her to create the amazing company: Lather.

Their goal is to educate their clients about all the ingredients they use and their purposes. On their website, you can find a glossary of the ingredients present in their products. The company is women owned and they source their ingredients from all over the world. They only choose the highest quality of ingredients for their products and strive for consistency in where they get their ingredients. Everything is made in the United States, aside from their shea butter which is made in Ghana.  All containers are recyclable, and when you bring your empties to the store you can receive 10% off your next purchase. Such a great incentive to recycle and to go back and try something new or to replenish.

They carry a wide array of products for the body, hair, face and the home. When I walked into the store it was like I was in a candy shop. So many different products to try and so little time. It was a tough choice but I settled on a set of their body creams, a set of their body polishes and the and the hand therapy cream. Those products are definitely necessary to get ready for the Spring and Summer and showing off my legs and arms.

I love each of the products I purchased. The hand therapy cream has been a godsend, because usually I put on hand cream and in a few minutes my hands feel tight and dry, but not with this hand cream. They don’t strip my skin and give it the necessary polish and moisture it needs to be healthy. The scent combinations, all from natural oils, are divine. Their bestselling products are the Bamboo lemongrass scrub, hand therapy and the muscle ease gel. Next time I stop by Lather I am going to try:

·         The Chia Seed & Passion Fruit Cleansing Oil
·         Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
·         Toning Eye Gel with Vitamin K (to help with my dark circles under my eyes)
·         Sun Essentials Kit

There are so many more products that I would love to try! If you already have a regimen you are set on, they have plenty of beautiful pampering products for you weekly pampering session. Go to the shop and find your favorite or try one of the ones listed above. You will not walk away disappointed.

Express & Gap... You Never Fail Me

On the topic of jeans I am usually very picky. How they hug my hips, the perfect length, no sagging in the tush area, and a great wash all have to be closely inspected before I am confident in my purchase.

It was such a long search in finding the best brands that had what I was looking for, and not just when I tried them on in the dressing room, but ones that always fit even after you take them home. I know I am not the only one who has been hoodwinked into buying "the perfect" pair of jeans that were an absolute dream to put on in the dressing room, but once you get them home all of a sudden they become either too short to even wear with flats or too big on the waist so you are constantly pulling them up. Life is so hard, especially when looking for those perfect jeans!

The reason I put so much effort into finding the right pair is because jeans are definitely a staple in my closet, whether its my boyfriend jeans for comfort, my dark wash crisp jeans for more dressy occasions or my light wash fully worn in jeans for relaxing . Either way jeans are an extremely versatile piece and if you find the right fit they will never fail you!

So you are probably wondering where all this ranting is leading....well I have found my perfect jean shopping locations: Express & Gap! And once I figured out that the curvy style is the best option for me for fit and that they both have that style and in longs my search was at an end. Hallelujah!

So if you are still searching for the perfect jeans try these babies out! They always fit and make me feel skinny.

Emitations Review

I had the honor of being given some pieces from Emitations to incorporate in my style posts. Though before I said yes to this opportunity I checked out the site to make sure their jewelry was actually something I would wear....And it was! They have a lot of fun rings and some breautiful bracelets and earrings.

I got an oval pave pair of earrings, gold bracelet/bangle, and a silver bangle. The bracelets are perfect for stacking with other bracelets. The earrings are great for adding a bit of "bling" to an outfit.

They have a fun array of costume jewelry and statement rings. This site is great for those of you who want to have a bit of icing, but don't want to go bankrupt. Go and check it out what they have to offer!
