Black & Blue

Outfit Details:

This is one of my typical fall into early winter uniforms, especially with this unusually nice weather we have been having lately!!! It is not actually very easy to find slightly loose v-neck sweaters, even though it is one of my favorite things to wear. I have to be careful when I wear loose sweaters sometimes, since I have a larger chest sometimes loose sweaters can add unflattering bulk to my figure especially if they have a high neckline.

The way to have that comfy loose feel without adding the extra look of bulk is so find sweaters with either a regular v-neck or a sexy deep v or even the wider ballet neckline! If you find a sweater you just have to have and it has a higher neckline, not to worry there are other ways of creating a flattering appearance and that is through the power of necklaces. Pairing a statement necklace or a longer necklace with say a sweater with a crew neck helps to give the appearance of a v -neck and helps to break up bland spaces.

Here I chose to add a long necklace to elongate things even more. Since this is one of my favorite necklaces to wear I decided to change it up a  bit . I did that by hanging this feather earring off of the medallion! Clever, right?!

How is everyone's holiday shopping going??

Fringe and Scottie Dogs

Outfit Details:
Top: Chaps

I absolutely loved styling this outfit with Sandra! I got the sweater and top because I saw so many outfits flash before my eyes staring these pieces.

This outfit is the perfect ensemble to pop on for your holiday shopping trips. Comfy, yet stylish and built for lots of walking in between shops. And layers are always key since shopping can sometimes make you work up a sweat!

Sweater Dress

Outfit Details:
dress: taken from my mom
boots: Vince Camuto

Simple.

Sometimes you just have to keep it simple. I had no idea I was gonna wear this outfit at first, it was a last minute grab as I ran out the door. Once I put it on it just worked and was so comfortable. Easy to layer over top of in order to keep out this horrid winter weather.

Whenever I get outfit-block (similar to writers block), if I try to throw a lot of things together to create an outfit it just turns out looking wrong. So when I simplify things and subtract a few pieces, the clouds clear and a solid outfit is born!

What do you do when you are suffering from "outfit-block"?

Well, Hello Fall

Outfit Details:
top: Asos (on sale!!!)
scarf: Francesca's
skirt: BCBG MaxAzria (similar)
tights: Ricky's

Happy Fall everyone! I decided that in honor of the beginning of Fall I would bring out my amazing Vince Camuto boots I got during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. The weather was also perfect for them, so it didn't turn out to be a wardrobe mistake.

This hat was featured on my Fall Wardrobe Cravings post, and I loved it so much that I had to get it!

What did you do to celebrate the beginning of Fall?!
