Basic Skincare Wardrobe

Basic Skincare Wardrobe

It is extremely important, no matter how simple, to have at least a basic skincare wardrobe to keep your skin happy and healthy.

1.Cleanse

This is a very important step. There are a variety of cleansers out there to choose from: foam, cream, foaming cream, water and face wipes. It is best to choose a cleanser based on your skin type, a foaming or gel cleanser for oily skin, any cleanser for normal skin, or cream cleanser for dry skin.
If you cleanse your skin thoroughly at night, then it should be still clean in the morning so you can just go right to toning your skin just to get off the excess oil.

Here are two options for you:
2. Tone

Using a toner is often an over-looked step and thought to be not necessary. Trust me it is a necessary step, it helps to balance the skin's pH so that your skincare can start working immediately after you put it on. It also helps to really get all the dirt out of your pores.

Here are some options:

Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner
Neutrogena Alcohol-free Toner-$7.99
Dior Gentle Toning Lotion with Velvet Peony Extract 6.7 oz-$33
3. Moisturize

The final step in your skincare wardrobe is to hydrate your skin! If you have very dry skin go for a cream for normal/combo skin types you can try a lotion which is a lighter formula.

This is a moisturizer I love using:
Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer (SPF-30) 2 oz - $26.00

I hope this little guide helps you all begin to build you own skincare wardrobe. Start off small and add things as you feel comfortable. Trust me it doesn't take as long as you may think to keep your skin healthy!
