Time to Wear White

Do you really have to follow the rule: Only wear white after Memorial Day and until Labor Day?

Personally I don't think you do. As always in fashion there are exceptions to the rules. For example a winter white pant suit or just the pants paired with a slouchy sweater can be the perfect winter outfit to feel fresh and not dulled down by the dreary weather.

When there are too many rule, fashion can seem harder than it has to be; so the best way to decided when to wear what is to look at your outfit and ask:

Do these fabrics add the much needed warmth to brave the weather outside?
Does this outfit make some sense (even if it is hidden logic)?
Is it flattering to my figure? Or does the outfit make me want to hide under the covers?

All these questions will help to guide you into knowing what white you can wear and when; which does not just apply to the color of the clothes, but the fabric and the fit as well--try to keep all of these in mind.

What are your opinions as when to wear white?
