Fitness ... Getting into the Swing of Things

Fitness Blender 8 Week Fat Loss For Busy People

Fitness Blender 4 Week Stretching, Yoga & Pilates: For Flexibility & Total Body Toning

I discovered Fitness Blender about a year or so ago while searching for some quick workouts on YouTube. These have been the best at home workouts I have found so far! They are so easy to follow and I never feel intimidated by the amazing husband and wife team. They also have variations for every fitness level.

When I got engaged I knew I would need to get in shape at some point, nothing new since I have been on and off of the workout/healthy eating train for the past few years. At times I have been able to find the perfect balance of working out and eating healthy, but inevitably I fall off the train and either burnout from being tired or too hungry!

This time I finally hit that moment when I knew I wanted to change my eating habits and my fitness level. So I eased into it, I am not extremely strict on my eating habits, but have found that I do not get bad cravings as often, since I don't totally deprive myself from indulging once in a while.

As for working out, I had been doing 2-4 days of fitness blender workouts or walking/running a week. I got the top program and just set a start date and began! Today started week 3 of the 8 week program and I feel great!!! It is 5 days of workouts that are under 35 mins including a warm up and cool down, with optional extra credit options and for day 6 you have an optional stretch day. I have done the full 6 days for the first 2 weeks so far and really look forward to that day 6 of stretching.

I already feel stronger and a little bit leaner. Before I started I took before photos (eeks! definitely motivation to stick to this new lifestyle) and weighed myself and took my measurements. The first day of the challenge you do a physical fitness test, I didn't do horribly, but I am excited to see how far I have come by the end of the 8 weeks!

If any of you are struggling getting started or get discouraged easily, its okay! Never force yourself to start something that you aren't ready for. There is a moment in time when you know that you are ready to make a change, whether it is a small one or drastic change. Just try taking one day at a time and set little goals for yourself.

You can do it!!
