Puffer Vest

Outfit Details:
vest: Wet Seal
top: gift from my sister
jeans: Cabi
shoes: Bcbg MaxAzria
sunglasses: Aldo

With weather like this crazy snow and wind, a good habit to get into is layering! Having this puffer vest has been the best layering option for me. It looks cute over just a sweater, or I can use it to add some bulk under a jacket to keep my torso nice and cozy.

Layered over a long-sleeved shirt is a perfect way to keep me warm, yet unconstrained when working-out outside in the elements (but lets be real this option doesn't happen very often at this time of year).

Pretty much in order to survive the weird and constantly changing weather of Northern Virginia, you need to layer! Below are some great options for you to add to your wardrobe!

Sweater Dress

Outfit Details:
dress: taken from my mom
boots: Vince Camuto

Simple.

Sometimes you just have to keep it simple. I had no idea I was gonna wear this outfit at first, it was a last minute grab as I ran out the door. Once I put it on it just worked and was so comfortable. Easy to layer over top of in order to keep out this horrid winter weather.

Whenever I get outfit-block (similar to writers block), if I try to throw a lot of things together to create an outfit it just turns out looking wrong. So when I simplify things and subtract a few pieces, the clouds clear and a solid outfit is born!

What do you do when you are suffering from "outfit-block"?

Tartan Swing

Outfit Details:
jacket: Talbots
dress: Asos
boots: Altuzarra for Target
necklace: vintage
ear cuff: Etsy
belt: Uniquely Y Etsy
ring: Charming Charlie's
bracelet: Emitations (c/o)
lipstick: Kat von D Studded lipstick in Homegirl

I got this cute dress from Asos during one of their amazing sales, I know it has more of a spring look to it, but I couldn't wait to wear it! So to make it more appropriate for fall I paired the dress with my fave tartan blazer and some awesome fishnet tights.

I loved shooting this with Keith in Georgetown and can't wait to do more photoshoots in urban settings! I think it adds some flair to my posts!

Stay tuned for some more amazing coming your way before the end of the year, even a makeup tutorial!
