Stripes and Dots

It feels pretty great being able to share these outfits that I never got the chance to post. Don't worry though there is plenty of new stuff on its way!

I love this floppy hat because it can take any outfit to that glamorous level in a flash!

I know I have vowed this before, but this fall I am planning on utilizing all of my accessories. It really only takes about a minute more in the getting ready process to add a hat or a scarf or even just a statement necklace or earrings.

By trying all of these pieces, I can figure out which accessories work the best in my personal style. And being someone who likes a lot of different things, narrowing that down is not the easiest thing to do.

How have you developed you own style over the years? Is comfort your driving force? Or is it the fit of the clothes? Different textures? Always classic? Or more on the trendy side?

Blue Plaid

Guess what season it is!?! It's Fall!!  Time to bring out the paid! I have plaid shirts I have stolen from my husband, found in thrift stores and gotten even though I didn't need them. They are probably my favorite piece of clothing to wear in the Fall. I pair them with skirts, boyfriend jeans, leggings, heels, flats or boots. The styling possibilities are absolutely endless!

What is your favorite piece of clothing to wear in the Fall?

Brand Review: Lather

Are you someone trying to stick to all natural products, but you miss that gratifying rich lather from products with more synthetic materials in them? Then Lather is your answer, all of their products are all natural and they have found ingredients that can give you that rich lather that you have been looking for, but without the harsh chemicals.

At Lather their motto is “Clean Skin for a Radiant Life.” Emilie Hoyt, the founder of Lather, wanted to find a way to escape from her chronic headaches and knew that synthetic perfumes and artificial ingredients were partially a cause for her discomfort. She found that an all-natural bar of lavender soap placed under her pillow helped to relieve her headaches. This led to her journey of discovering different all natural ingredients and aromatherapy, which brought her to create the amazing company: Lather.

Their goal is to educate their clients about all the ingredients they use and their purposes. On their website, you can find a glossary of the ingredients present in their products. The company is women owned and they source their ingredients from all over the world. They only choose the highest quality of ingredients for their products and strive for consistency in where they get their ingredients. Everything is made in the United States, aside from their shea butter which is made in Ghana.  All containers are recyclable, and when you bring your empties to the store you can receive 10% off your next purchase. Such a great incentive to recycle and to go back and try something new or to replenish.

They carry a wide array of products for the body, hair, face and the home. When I walked into the store it was like I was in a candy shop. So many different products to try and so little time. It was a tough choice but I settled on a set of their body creams, a set of their body polishes and the and the hand therapy cream. Those products are definitely necessary to get ready for the Spring and Summer and showing off my legs and arms.

I love each of the products I purchased. The hand therapy cream has been a godsend, because usually I put on hand cream and in a few minutes my hands feel tight and dry, but not with this hand cream. They don’t strip my skin and give it the necessary polish and moisture it needs to be healthy. The scent combinations, all from natural oils, are divine. Their bestselling products are the Bamboo lemongrass scrub, hand therapy and the muscle ease gel. Next time I stop by Lather I am going to try:

·         The Chia Seed & Passion Fruit Cleansing Oil
·         Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
·         Toning Eye Gel with Vitamin K (to help with my dark circles under my eyes)
·         Sun Essentials Kit

There are so many more products that I would love to try! If you already have a regimen you are set on, they have plenty of beautiful pampering products for you weekly pampering session. Go to the shop and find your favorite or try one of the ones listed above. You will not walk away disappointed.

Sunset Hair & Back to Blogging

Outfit Details: hair color and style by Daniel and Iva Bella Salon; top: Old Navy, pants: Old Navy, bag: from Rachel Zoe Box of Style, shoes: Betsey Johnson

Hi Everyone! I'm back! I know it's been some time since my last post, but I needed a break from all the requirements I had placed on myself and needed to simplify things in my life. I am trying to learn how to balance my work schedule with creative projects and with a personal life ( I know weird, who has those!).

I have revamped my A la Carte Scheduling to fit how my life is now (don't worry post coming soon)! Last year, as most of you know, I got married. The planning process, of which I documented a small portion of here, took a lot of my time; along with running my business. With all of that, blogging began to feel more like a chore than a creative outlet, so I stopped as a way to cut out some of the stress in my life.

My process for reorganizing my life began with a new invoice and client management tool: 17 hats, and this has helped me immensely with simplifying the process I take with each new or existing client for booking and invoicing.

My next step was to figure out social media. Like many of you, I find managing my socia media to be a consistent challenge, and only just figured out the best approach for me. I decided to shift my focus to concentrate on Instagram, with a few Facebook posts here and there. Using this simplified approach to social media has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. Social Media always seemed like a chore, but now, I am saving time and having more fun with my posts!

Basically I am going back to square one. Just like I say to all of my makeup lesson clients, you need to start small and then gradually add in more products or techniques. Otherwise you will never stick to your new routine. I also want to make sure you all reading this continue to enjoy the content and possibly learn from it, so please be vocal and share with me what you would like to see!

So stay tuned for some posts that never got posted and some new material!

Enjoy & Be Beautiful Babes!
