Mustard for Fall

Outfit Details:
top: borrowed from Ali
scarf:
pants: borrowed from Andrea
shoes: borrowed from Andrea
bracelets and earrings: J'adorn Designs

When Ali told me  that this was the outfit I was going to be wearing for her Fall 2014 Look Book, I have to say I was a little nervous. Once I put the outfit on all my fears were pushed aside and I was pleasantly surprised that this mustard color didn't look half bad with my complexion and hair color!

Nit to mention that it was a bangin' combo with the cranberry pants and cute flats! The jewelry Ali paired with this outfit was perfect as well! I am so glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone and trusted Ali that it totally would work! I have to say maybe if I had my blonde hair it might not have looked as rad, but hey its crazy how different your range can become with just changing your hair color (not that this red hair in new or anything).

Have you found with different hair colors being able to wear different colors that you weren't/ wouldn't wear before?

Stay tuned for the rest of the Look Book that I shot for Ali featuring her amazing Fall 2014 Jewelry Collection

Meet Ali of J'Adorn Designs

J'adorn Designs by Allison Jefferies

I Met Ali at a networking event for The Knot, and we hit it off right away! She creates such beautiful and fun jewelry. She also does custom pieces. She worked with me on my collaboration with Thredup (All White, Retro Florals and Stripes and Roses) Check out some of her FAQ below from her site and then click the links above to check out all the amazing pieces she has to offer!

FAQ:
01: Are you available for custom jewelry designs?
Absolutely! Custom designs are one of my favorite types of jewelry to make. If you have an idea or special project, feel free to drop me a line in the contact form.

02: What is your policy on returns?  What if my jewelry purchase breaks?
Jewelry may be returned for a full refund if it is sent back in original condition with its receipt within 30 days of the original purchase.
Any piece of jewelry you purchase comes with a guarantee that it will last you in a durable way. If your piece breaks within six months of purchase, just send it back along with your receipt and I’ll replace or repair it for free. After that, I will repair it for a fee, determined on a case by case basis.
My ultimate goal is for you to be completely satisfied with your J’Adorn Designs jewelry, so if there is a problem or issue you experience with your purchase, please send me a message and I will do my best to make it right.

03: What type of metals do you use?
Most of the jewelry that I make is gold- or silver-plated, but I do sometimes use other materials such as antiqued bronze or gunmetal.  The metals used in each piece are listed in the product descriptions. If you have a metal allergy or sensitive skin and need to use surgical steel or sterling silver, send me a message and I’ll be happy to customize any piece to  meet your needs.

04: Do you have a physical shop?
I do not have a physical retail shop, but I frequently bring my wares to sell at events such as art festivals, craft shows, and farmers markets. An “Events” page is currently in the works to provide you with current information of where you can see J’Adorn Designs in person, so check back soon for more details!
05: I have a retail shop or boutique. Is your jewelry available for wholesale and batch orders?
Yes! For more information on wholesale orders and pricing, send me a message.

06: I’m getting married and want to have custom jewelry for myself and/or my bridal party, but I’m not sure exactly what I want. Can we still work together?
Yes! Each bridal order is completely customized, so the design process involves an initial web or phone call to brainstorm ideas and discuss preferences. Even if you’re not sure exactly what you want, we can talk about your general vision and I’ll make suggestions from there. To begin the process, send me a message!

I hope you all check her out and find some fun pieces to add to your jewelry wardrobe!

Retro Florals

Outfit Details:
top: Asos (on sale too!)
skirt: French Connection via Thred Up c/o
sunglasses: Express (similar)
necklace, bracelets and earrings: c/o J'adorn Designs
clutch: Vintage borrowed from Ali

Here is another look from my fun shoot I did with Ali from J'adorn Designs. The necklace she paired with with outfit it one of my faves because it is delicate and fun at the same time!

I chose one of my Asos crop tops to pair with this high waisted skirt I got from Thred up (check out my post about them here). This outfit formula has to be one of my favorites as you know from Stripes on the Beach. It was a comfortable pairing and didn't add a lot of weight since it was a pretty hot day. Also the shoes from Nordstrom Rack are so so comfortable! I got them for a photo shoot and ended up keeping them..ooops!

Do you have a favorite pair of nude heeled sandals to enhance your summer wardrobe?
